Dove FieldVilla Irene diningYou will find your hosts warm, gracious and very accommodating. While they may recommend a hunting schedule, you will be able to modify it to suit your tastes.
The area Dave’s clients hunt would remind you of eastern South Dakota or Nebraska with rolling pasture, broken by grain fields with large concentrations of birds.

Villa Irene is very comfortable with 4 double bedrooms, most with private baths, a spacious den/dining area and excellent food. Special dietary meals can be made available upon request. Dave’s “steak anytime you want it”, a good stock of fine wines and the final night suckling pig menus are executed to perfection by excellent cooks. His guides, equipment, dogs and shooting logistics are also first rate.
Uruguay is a developing peaceful country of about 3.3 million inhabitants. The government is stable, and the population is pro American.  No special personal safety measures, other than common sense, are required, as the crime rates are extremely low, and the drug problems encountered elsewhere are virtually nonexistent there. Agriculture is devoted primarily to cattle and sheep raising. The area Dave and his clients hunt would remind you of eastern South Dakota or Nebraska with rolling pasture, broken by grain fields. Where there are planted crops there are large concentrations of doves, pigeons. Visiting Uruguay is like stepping back in time. Horse drawn carts share the roads with model T's, and an occasional Mercedes. While they speak Spanish, they communicate the international language of hospitality.
