Hacienda Los Ebanos is an easy transit-about 1-1/2 hours from McAllen or Harlingen Texas. Los Ebanos, a formerly private club owned by a Mexico corporation that features outstanding accommodations and food, private duck ponds designed by Ducks Unlimited and stellar shooting for teal and the highly prized pintails. Arrangements can also be made for redheads on the LaGuna Madre.
We have compiled a great short list of the Best Duck Hunting Lodges in Mexico. One of the best of these- Los Ebanos closes out bookings very early because they specialize in smaller groups and rest their shooting areas between groups to insure good shooting.
Typical of the hunting there this season is this comment by a good client and his son who were there recently: The figures are for 2 hunters... " ...we´re on to the hunting, which has been extraordinary. Sunday PM hunt for two hours...26 mostly drake pintails. Monday AM hunt...35 mostly drake pintails...three hours. Yesterday afternoon on the too-windy Laguna Madre...only 5 pintails, but great birding...I'd never seen a roseate spoonbill before. This morning 48 mostly drake bluewings, just couldn't get the pintails into the set. Quail later this afternoon because the wind is still up on the laguna." Both my partner and I have been to Los Ebanos as have many of our best clients over the past few years. Since it's duck hunting, some averaged less but most averaged more ducks than the above hunt which took place right at the close of the season.
Cost for 3 nights, 3 days, 6 hunts is $3,500 per hunter. Rental guns are included in this package
