Pheasants, Ducks, options for big game
This is a wonderful wing shooting trip for single hunters or for couples with first rate accommodations and food; liberal limits on pheasants and ducks plus the option for big game, Moufflon, Fallow Deer, driven Boar. Our venue includes tours of Budapest and 2days in Vienna with the option to attend the Vienna Opera plus dozens of scenic and historic sites.

The Itinerary:

Day One:
(Friday)  Arrival in Vienna.
 Arrive at the Grand Hotel in the center of Vienna on the famous Ringstraßen, near by the Opera House, the walking zone and the city center. It is an old style traditional hotel with all facilities and a direct connection to the famous shopping arcade downtown, the "Ringstraßen Gallerien". In the afternoon enjoy a city tour with all the sights and cathedrals by bus & tour guides, as well as a walk in the walking zone of the center or you may prefer a ride on the hydrofoil boat. Return to the hotel and around 7:30PM go by bus to the  famous wine area "Grinzing" 10 km from the city in the hilly wineyards territory. We will sample the Viennese specialties at the famous winehouse restaurant "Heuriger". After the winehouse we will have a short nightime tour of the city. Overnight at the hotel.  Alternative: If you prefer, we'll arrange tickets to a performance at the Vienna Opera plus dinner at a fine Viennese restaurant.

Day Two: (Saturday) After breakfast we will tour the major castles starting with Belvedere Castle, then the Spanish Horse Riding School, lunch at Do & Co Restaurant on the 8th floor of the "Haas Haus" building/Towers opposite St. Steven's Cathedral. In the afternoon we will visit the Emperor's summer palace, the castle of Schönbrunn followed by dinner at Vienna's most famous traditional beef restaurant "Hietzinger Bräu". After return, visit the Casino or some of the local pubs or night clubs. Overnight at the hotel.

hungary flag Day Three: (Sunday) Depart for Budapest. Transfer by coach about 40 miles north east to Castle Bercel. Castle Bercel is very private and owned by a musician. 15 double rooms, extremely nice, beautifully redecorated with antique furniture and excellent food. Rooms are large with a lot of flair and with brand new bathrooms. After settling in we will have a caviar cocktail with Champagne in the cocktail area of the dining room followed by dinner at 7 pm. Overnight at the castle.

Day Four: (Monday) The wing shooters will leave for the pheasant hunting area at 8 AM from the castle by Land Rovers. They will shoot pheasants over dogs (limit of 25 birds) in the morning and will have lunch in the fields. After lunch, they will go to the duck lake at about 3PM (limit of 25 ducks). After the duck shoot return to the castle. Nonshooters will leave after breakfast at about 9AM by coach bus to Szentendre a very nice village on the Danube with beautiful shopping facilities in the old aristocratic style. Light lunch in Szentendre. In the afternoon, on the way back to our castle, visit the very famous Castle of Gödöllö of Prince Andrassy, where "Sissi" visited many times. Evening (7 to 8 PM) refreshments in the rooms, cocktails till 7:30PM. Gypsy musicians from Budapest will entertain during a fine dinner. Overnight at the castle.

Day Five: (Tuesday) No hunting activities. All may enjoy a relaxing morning and leave between 10 and 11AM to the Danube Valley, the "typical Puszta", where they will have a nice barbeque lunch at some very famous horse stables and attend a horse show with the Hungarian "Puszta Horses". Food is excellent there and this attraction will last till 3 to 4PM. Return to the castle and have cocktails and dinner together.  Classic concert will be performed by musicians from Budapest after dinner. Overnight at the castle.

Day Six: (Wednesday) Wingshooters repeat of Monday's hunting activities with pheasant hunting in the morning and duck hunting in the afternoon. Non-shooters can relax or take a sightseeing trip to Budapest returning to the castle in the evening. About 7 to 8PM enjoy a elegant cocktail dinner at the castle.

Day Seven: (Thursday) After breakfast wingshooters will enjoy an exclusive English-style driven shoot. Each shooter gets his own private loader, numbered stands, 5 to 7 drives, 100 beaters and helpers.
The ladies are welcome to join the wingshooters or visit behind the shooting blinds. A luxury bus will be at the site and we will all join together for a pleasant lunch in the field including hot Hungarian Gulyas from an open fire pot. This will prove to be an excellent shoot for the last shooting day. Special farewell dinner at the castle.

Day Eight: (Friday) Transfer to airport and departure for home.

   $8,490 single hunter, $9,990 per couple:
Costs based on double occupancy. All inclusive except air, gratuities, meals except welcoming and farewell dinners, opera and other otions. Extra birds: $17 per bird.

Castle Bercel is very private and owned by a musician. 15 double rooms, extremely nice, beautiful antique furniture and excellent food. Rooms are large with a lot of flair and with brand new bathrooms.
