beautiful new lodge featuring a lounging area and after dinner relax
around the
warm fireplace, help yourself to the open bar or tie up some new flies

Heart of the Andes Lodge is located in the southern
section of
the Chilean Andes Mountain range and is considered to be one a unique
and interesting fishing operations in the South America.
Owner/Outfitter Mark
Kniprath and his wife Margarita have the only fly-out operation in
Chile, Mark has over 12 years of experience piloting sportsmen to
wilderness fishing territories. Margarita is a native Chilean, prepares
all the meals including some
terrific native Chilean recipes for the catch of the day and homemade
bread. Fishing in the Andes Mountain waters will be a unforgettable experience. The variety of opportunities range from to pristine spring creeks, freestone rivers, and glaciated fjords. Rainbow trout and Brown trout are most sought after but anglers will also enjoy their opportunities for Brook trout, King Salmon, Silver Salmon and Sea Run Browns. The catches usually range in size from 14”-18” but larger fish are not uncommon. Most popular are dry flies, wet flies, sink tips, and mouse patterns. For the adventurous angler, there is the opportunity to flyout to a remote camp for a stay of any duration to drop your hook in some truly virgin trout waters. The comfortable
main lodge is
designed for gathering, dining, tying flies and
just relaxing after a great day of fishing. Trip members will enjoy the
private cabins, each consisting of two
bedrooms with queen sized beds, private shower, and a small living room
with a
