Ascension Bay, Mexico You will be
met at the Cancun International airport by your Casa Blanca
representative and then enjoy a short 5 minute van ride to the FBO and
you
will check in the flight coordinator who will get you on board the next
charter departure to Ascension Bay. ![]() The
Lodge sits on a rocky point known as Punta Pajaros. The
actual Lodge was the former staff quarters for cocoa plantation
workers. Each
comfortable room offers a different layout and nice view of the ocean.
After returning from a long day on the flats, reward yourself to a cool drink from our bar and enjoy some fresh ceviche or nachos under the palapa. After a shower make your way to the dinning room to enjoy the chef’s daily specialty. The menu varies from chicken, fresh fish, conch, lobster and steak. Bonefish prefer
the shallow waters found at Casa Blanca. Even a beginner has a good
chance of hooking one of these hard fighting bonefish. Pound for pound
few fish can
compare to the action of a good size bonefish will give a angler.
Tarpon are the largest, strongest, and most acrobatic of the flats lineup. They will strain you and your tackle. Tarpon in this area range from 20-70 lbs. There are plenty to cast to in order to complete a Slam, but you should not consider Casa Blanca primarily as a tarpon destination. The guides at Casa Blanca are some of the best on the flats. Several of the guides are natives and have grown up fishing the waters of Ascension Bay. |
