Stewart's Lodge and Camps is located on the sheltered north arm of Nimpo Lake in the famous Chicotin region of western British Columbia, 250 miles north of Vancouver. A pristine, rolling plateau dotted with hundreds of crystal clear lakes and streams back dropped by rugged snowcapped mountains. A unique wilderness experience for angler's and their families. Fish a different lake of stream every day or go canoeing, hiking, tent camping and above all don't miss the breathtaking "Flightsee" of Rainbow Mountains, Monarch Ice fields and Hunten Falls on Stewart's Lodge air service, "Tweedsmuir Air". Classic Sports International's group members will enjoy daily prime dry fly fishing on the Upper Dean or Blackwater rivers or go with the option of a fly out from Stewart's Lodge to one of the 25 inaccessible lakes to fish for the day. Location of the best trout waters is a result of extensive prospecting done by the Stewarts, since 1953. From the outpost locations most fishing is done from a boat on the lake and the streams are fished by wading.
Since 1953, the Stewart family has been serving the wild rainbow trout fishers from their main lodge base at beautiful Nimpo Lake and have added 8 outpost camps. You can stay at the main lodge and fly out daily to a different lake or stream, with all meals prepared for you in the lodge and retiring each night to your own private lake shore log cabin with private bath. All the buildings are handcrafted from native lodgepole pine and the main lodge features a stone fireplace. You can choose to stay at one of the 8 remote wilderness outpost camps. These camps are situated on excellent Rainbow trout waters. Each fully equipped camp is comprised of a spacious comfortable log cabin capable of accommodating two to six people. These cabins include linens and all you food needs; dairy products, fresh fruit and vegetables, beef, pork, chicken, fresh bread, etc. Boats and motors, oars, fish trays, nets, fuel and life cushions are supplied.
