| NEW High Volume Dove Lodge in Bolivia "T H E R O C K" |
"The Rock" is Outfitter Ryan
McCollum's
NEW Dove Lodge in Bolivia! For
the past three years Ryan had
been looking for the perfect place to build a new dove lodge. This lodge sits up on a high rock mountain overlooking thousands of acres of sunflowers with no more than a 15 minute drive from the lodge to the shooting fields. Sometimes hunters can take a short walk out the front door and down the hill to shoot. The surrounding area is comprised of vast Brazilian farms that plant sorghum and sunflowers plus nearby Mennonite colonies have crops and wonderful water holes that all make up an ideal dove hunting environment. Ryan McCollum, is the CEO and founder of Wingshooting The World. Ryan's life is based on a passion for hunting and fishing and has spent many years traveling the world in search of the ideal hunting and fishing locations. |
The picture to the left shows Ryan's partner
in Bolivia,
Jose Luis "Mozo" Vidal Urgel, in a typical high volume Bolivia
dove field. Mozo has been a hunter since he could walk and is extremely
knowledgeable about the country. He is a passionate bird and big game
hunter and was the first professional scout in both Bolivia and
Paraguay. Mozo works hard, finding the best shooting places and
attending to all the clients needs. His local and political connections
assure a exciting well run wingshooting adventure. The Rock lodge is a 3 hour drive from the city but the drive time will be shorter next season when the bridge and new highway are completed. Hunters also have the option to take a 45 minute charter flight to the lodge's private airstrip. This lodge will comfortably hold up to 12 shooters. Some of the features at The Rock include wireless internet, big screen satellite TV, open bar, a big jacuzzi, pool table, good food and service, and a lot of great wing shooting. 3 day Dove shoot is only $1,995 per hunter |
| Option to shoot decoyed pigeons over harvested corn and sorghum fields at Ryan's Hacienda Torkaza down closer to the Paraguay border. This very comfortable lodge is situated on a traditional working cattle ranch and is fixed up first class. Pigeon season runs from April 15th to the end of June. Drives to the shooting fields are 5 to 30 minutes over good roads. |
