Carlos controls shooting rights to over 40,000 acres of prime marsh habitat teeming with ducks and geese. From May-August, wingshooters enjoy the rare pleasure of hunting ducks in a vast wetland managed and reserved solely for guests of the Los Ombues lodge. Each shooter is assisted by a birdboy for calling ducks to the decoys, retreiving downed ducks.
Every duck boat and guide is equipped with a two-way radio for permanent communication with the lodge. Duck hunters have a generous limit of 20 ducks and given the large numbers of ducks that flock to decoys that will leave plenty of time in the day for hot barelled dove shooting or excellent perdiz shooting.

The duck species include: white-cheeked and brown pintails, silver, speckled, and ringed teals, red shovelers, southern widgeons, Brazilian ducks along with white-faced and fulvous tree-ducks abound. But these ducks become just part of the scenery once the first flock of rosy-billed pochards swings over your decoys. There are so many ducks that you may find yourself confining your shots to one species or drakes only, to extend the time it takes to fill your limit.

All shooting is a short distance from the lodge with generous limits, comfortable duck blinds, well trained retrievers, top guides and champion pointers for the outstanding perdiz hunts. The lodge maintains plenty of first rate shotguns for rent.
