We have excellent references on Paco from some of our best clients who have hunted with Paco year after year.
Paco offers doves, pigeons and ducks and the combination we like best with him is his pigeon/duck shooting combination because it is near unique in Argentina to find excellent shooting on both species with just a few hours travel between locations.
Paco sets his
duck limits by giving each shooter 4 boxes of shells on
each of the two hunts each day. That’s, of course, 200 opportunities
and depending on the shooter’s skills should mean at least 50-60 ducks
or more per day.He has no hard and fast limit on pigeons but many of the shooters I’ve talked with say it’s entirely possible to take 300 pigeons or more per shoot.
The best time to get the best shooting on both pigeon and ducks is from late April through July. Please contact us as soon as possible for best available dates.
- Recommended Itinerary:
Day
One: Arrival
in Cordoba and transfer to The
Montpelier Hotel in Cruz del Eje, about
a 2 hour drive. Since the Lan Chile and Aerolineas Argentina flights
both arrive in Cordoba before noon, you should be able to get in a good
afternoon shoot for pigeons.
- Day Two: All day shooting for pigeons with asado in the field.
- Day Three: Morning pigeon shoot and transfer in the afternoon to the duck area, El Picazo Lodge near Sumampa. About 3-1/2 hours.
- Day Four: All day shooting ducks, morning and afternoon.
- Day Five: Duck shooting in the morning, transfer after lunch to Cordoba and your return international flight.
Price
for the trip as outlined: $1,995 plus extras as outlined.
- You can, of course, add or switch a day depending on openings.
Prices include transfers from the airport to the shooting area; double occupancy accommodations, all meals at the lodge and in the field. Extras are: airfare, hunting license ($30 /day), bird boys ($25/day), shells ($8.50/ box if prepaid 60 days in advance, otherwise $9.50 /box), tips and personal items.
