  El Solar de la Pampa
Typical Itinerary: Day One: Arrival at Pajas Blancas International Airport of Cordoba and VIP reception in the VIP lounge, customs assistance, gun formalities and luggage.  Transfer north to the estate El Solar de la Pampa (approximately 35 - 40 minutes drive). After the hunt The El Solar De La Pampa Lodge is the original manor house of the estancia. Las Pampas and La Paz belonged to the family of the Argentine president General Julio Argentino Roca and was part of the Jesuit estancia Santa Catalina (80,000 hectares). Re-appointed by the present owners as a private lodge, the manor house and gardens have regained their luster while maintaining the old world charm and ambiance.
Arrangements have been made with Gendarmeria Nacional, to provide the premises with around the clock security. Trip members will be hosted personally by Prince Kinsky and his staff will cater to your every need.
Located near Ascochinga, some 45 kms. north of the Cordoba international airport, the lodge is set in a centuries old park at the door to the high volume dove shooting fields in the hills near Santa Catalina and Los Chañares or the plains of Jesus Maria or Totoral.
The trip members will enjoy the spacious, very comfortable quarters and fine dining on the lodge chef’s superb Argentine home cooking, which features first class Argentine beef, home grown vegetables and delicious home made desserts.
Activities for the non-shooters include trekking and horseback ridding through the beautiful hills of Central Cordoba and golfing at the famed 18 hole Ascochinga Golf Course, only minutes away (3 kms).
High Volume Doves

Days 2, 3 & 4: 3 full days of high volume dove shooting. Early morning departure for the shooting fields.
The El Solar de la Pampa lodge offers optional transfers to and from the shooting fields in modern Robinson R44 helicopters reducing travel time to just a few minutes (added cost of $100 per day per shooter).
Dove shooting all morning with a delicious BBQ lunch served in the field  followed by the afternoon shoot. It is not usual to hunt one or two different fields every day offering a variety of firing angles.
Each shooter will be assisted by a secretario, who will help with the shotguns, hold a good supply of shells, fresh beverages, retrieve fallen birds and empty cartridges after the shoot, maintain a hand held radio to stay in contact at all times with the field manager. They also record the number of birds hit, and boxes of shells consumed. Each shooter’s peg has a comfortable swivel seat.

Day 5: Morning preparation for a mid-morning transfer to the Aeroclub of Jesus Maria (only minutes away) to board the private charter flight to the estancia La Espadaña in the midst of the virgin Northern Santa Fe marshes. Trip members will arrive in time for lunch at La Espadaña.

Return to the lodge for cocktails and early dinner in preparation for the next early morning wakeup call. Great Duck Hunt

The Northern Santa Fe Marshes are the natural habitat of most waterfowl in NE Argentina–protected from civilization by the lack of roads in a water ponds and rivers scenario offering one of the last, unspoiled, waterfowl habitats– Ducks, Flamingoes, Blackneck-Swans, Whiteneck-Swans, geese, Chaja’s, Ibis, and hundreds of other birds and animals species.

A normal morning shoot averages 5-6 of Argentine 38 duck species. La Espadana

Duck concentrations are scouted every day.

La Espadaña Lodge has 4 comfortable large double rooms with private baths and plenty of hot water. A fifth double room shares a bath. The great room is a large area in which shooters can relax at the open fireplace, enjoy delicious dining including prime Argentine beef, imported liquors, beers, and fine wines.

Day’s 6 & 7:
Early morning wake-up call for a hearty American breakfast and departure from the lodge before first light to be in the blinds before sunrise. The natural blinds are built into the reeds, and positioned in the fly patterns of the ducks.
One or two horses pulling a flat bottom boat are used to transport the shooters to the blinds to avoid excess noise and to keep the birds flying. Blinds are surrounded with decoys, have a swivel stool and firm underwater ground to stand on.
deluxe lodge The bird boy will signal the arrival of the ducks, keep the shooter supplied with cartridges, and retrieve downed birds. Ducks will come in all sizes (teals to rosy bill ducks and bigger) from all directions, in all heights, speeds and flying patterns.

Limit of 50 recovered ducks per day.  Extra ducks: $5/bird.

When the keeper closes the morning shoot, shooters are transported back to the lodge for drinks, lunch, and a siesta until the afternoon duck shoot. In season option for partridges over well trained pointers, pigeons or doves.
